SEASON NEWS
2007 proved to be a very good season.
The Ladies reached two Fiuals but came second in both games.
The Men played 3 rounds in the EBA Fours and reached the Pairs semi-finals in the London & Southern Counties competitions.
We had men in the County Singles semi-finals,the Pairs,the Triples,the Fours and the Unbadged.
The Fours went on to win the Divisional Final and followed up by
winning the Area Quarter Final and Semi-Final thus qualifying to play
at Worthing in the All England Finals
WE WON THROUGH TO DIVISIONAL SEMI FINALS IN BERT COX CUP
The Men won the Millenium League
WELL DONE TO ALL WHO TOOK PART.

Saturday
29th April was the official opening with a Bowls Drive
The launch also featured a link with the club's early days in 1906 with
the presence of Michael Vaughan,great grandson of the club's
founder,president and benefactor Alderman Edmond Vaughan.who is
featured on the cover of a special booklet researched and edited by
club secretary Geoff Chapman.
The booklet was produced to purchase at £2 and provides
interesting reading into the club's history with reports and
photographs. |
